Giants of the Mortgage Industry, 2009, our Spring study of the residential mortgage industry, is now available.  We have expanded our data by lender to include loan modification figures and new measures of credit risk, along with detailed origination and servicing numbers for 2008.

    A large special section on under-water borrowers examines data from 36 million home owners with debt and includes national plus county-by-county reports on borrowers and dollars at risk.

    The study includes SMR's tally of the 2008 loan market, our 2009 forecast, and a full report on all aspects of the current financial crisis.

    We also are offering an optional companion study to Giants this year.  Published in February, 2009, our study on the booming FHA loan market is available to Giants study purchasers at a 50% discount.
