Giants of the Mortgage Industry, 2011:  Amid The Gloom, Maybe Doom, our Spring study of the residential mortgage industry, is now available. 

    The study analyzes new federal proposals that would change the entire U.S. housing finance system -- a must read.

    Other special sections analyze home price trends and loan origination productivity, measured by pull-through rates, in all major cities.

    As always, this study discloses company-specific data through year-end 2010:  loan originations, servicing, and early and late-stage delinquency.  New data this year looks at bank mortgage repurchase volumes and mortgage banking noninterest income, by company. 

    Our forecasts for 2011 are now revised.
