Home Equity Loans, 2008:  Hard Times, our annual industry study, is now available for purchase.  This is the only major U.S. annual research study dedicated to pure-play junior-lien home equity lending.  It ranks all leading lenders, sets the size of the market, covers key business trends, and forecasts what will happen during the remainder of the year. 

    2008 will be the worst year in the history of the industry in credit losses and profitability.  This year's study reports and analyzes all aspects of the current downturn - and the prospects and timing for recovery.  A special section shows the distribution of all existing home equity customers grouped by their current CLTV ratios and ranks top lenders by their high-CLTV concentrations.  Another special section examines how long the crisis will last.

    The optional Volume 2 Supplement ranks best and worst local home equity markets for 284 metro areas.  It has been revised this year to include new data points and scores, focused strongly on measures of risk.
